How long you’ll be working for them
Where they are located
In this case, you will need either a copy of an LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment)or an employment number which you can get from your employer An open work permit allows you to work for ANY employer except for the ones who can’t offer work to foreigners or any escort, erotic, or striptease job opportunities.
You can obtain an open work permit only in specific situations. For example, if you are an international student who graduated from a DLI (Designated Learning Institutions)and are seeking a PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit Program).
You need to have a valid job offer to get an employer-specific work permit. A job offer considered valid if:
It is a full-time and non-seasonal job of a minimum of one year in length
It is found under such NOC (National Occupational Classification) categories asSkill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B;
